Preethi is a Monitoring and Evaluation Intern with Clear Outcomes this summer. She holds an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Rutgers University where she developed an interest in healthcare after a summer internship experience working with a healthcare marketing firm.
To pursue her passion further she joined the Peace Corps in 2018 to become an Adolescent Health Promoter in Guyana. There she worked with local teachers and students to strengthen the country’s health education curriculum, worked with the local health center to establish a youth-friendly adolescent clinic, and worked on a variety of M&E projects with Peace Corps staff.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a global evacuation of Peace Corps Volunteers brought her back to the US this spring, where she has since been assisting her county health department with their COVID-19 testing site. This fall, Preethi will begin her graduate studies pursuing a Master of Public Health in International Health and Development at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
